To combat soil erosion, trampling of flora, pollution, and other nuisances, access to around ten beaches is by reservation only.
Please note, access to certain beaches is highly restrictive: no picnicking or plastic, for example (non-exhaustive list).
The beach is limited to 1500 people per day at a cost of €3.50 per adult and free for children under 12 years old.

Cala Goloritzé is limited to 250 people per day, €6 (including beach + parking) for adults and free for children under 6 years old. The beach is accessible by a challenging but splendid hike or by boat. Open from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.
You need to download the “Heart of Sardinia” application from the Android or Apple Play Store.
Reservations open 72 hours in advance, use the search for Cala Goloritzé, then “Mare” and book.”
Cala Mariolu is limited to 700 people per day and can be accessed by boat or by a challenging hiking trail. Reservations can be made through the app.

Cala Biriala is limited to 300 people per day.
The beach is divided into 2 parts : the free access beach which accommodates 729 people and the spots in the 2 establishments: 371 people.
You cannot reserve the free beach, the number of occupants is calculated from the first arrival from 8am to 6pm.

Posession of sand and pebbles is illegal and can cost you up to €3000 in fines at ports and airports.
In response to this harmful trafficking for the beauty of the island, authorities may inspect your vehicles and luggage.
